Teachers can use exciting, interactive games to teach students vocabulary. It will help students attach meaning to words and hold onto that meaning. See the following video how a teacher utilizes a simple game that causes students to discuss and analyze words to make connections to remember word choice. This game could be altered a number of ways and used for pre-teaching vocabulary or even a review. It gets students actively involved and moving! I think my school is lacking in creative, engaging vocabulary games/lessons partly due to time constraints and lack of vocabulary curriculum.
