This website provides teachers with ways to integrate vocabulary into conversations in the classroom and change teacher vocabulary to a more sophisticated one.  It gives examples of different teachers using this concept.  It also provides reasons why teachers should use this strategy.  There are lists of words to use and practical suggestions of how to use them in the classroom.

This website is more research-based and gives insight into the actual issue on hand.  It gives information about why vocabulary should be a critical issue in schools and evidence to support why it isn't.  It discusses how teachers should approach vocabulary and how students receive it.  It ends with a recommendation for teaching vocabulary.

This website gives definitions and findings from the National Reading Panel to support the idea of teaching vocabulary.  It describes various strategies and stresses the importance of students being exposed to multiple texts and genres.  It also touches on strategies for teaching vocabulary to English Language Learners.  There are several sample lessons regarding vocabulary for different grade levels.
